The Price and Pleasures of Change

Hello everyone!

This week has been very busy and quite hectic to say the least. Elder Cohn left for Greeneville, Tennessee this week. We drove around and saw a lot of members in the area on Tuesday. He said goodbye to everyone and that was pretty great. I learned a lot from him these past two transfers and I am grateful for the time we spent together.

We drove to Farragut to get my new companion, Elder Price. He is quite different than Elder Cohn. You know they say you can't judge a book by it's cover, but you can judge an Elder by his room. I will include a comparison of my side and his. It's pretty easy to tell who's side is whose.

He has a lot of energy and never stops, almost like a jackrabbit who drank too much caffeine. You can thank him for all the pictures I have in my email by the way. I have already seen how he has been good for this area and for me. He has changed the way we do a lot of things. I know it will be a tough transfer, but I think great things will come from it.

I have now been in Spencer, TN for three months now. That is pretty crazy to think about. I have all the knowledge of the area and what's going on. I am also the driver for the area, which is pretty fun. In all honesty, it has been pretty stressful and exhausting. I'm getting used to it though. We have been working really hard these past few days and good things have come from it.

There is a scripture I relate to this week. It's about a missionary just like me named Ammon. He went to preach to a new group of people and had a lot of difficulty. He continued on even when things were difficult and it seemed impossible.

Alma 26:27 Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.

I know I can accomplish great things here in Spencer with the help of the Lord. He can help us bear hard things and give us comfort. I can't wait to see what come from it.

Move Forward With Confidence Regardless of Consequence
